Cooking a meal for under £10


There are so many people in this world that live off Takeaways or Precooked meals. However, what these people don’t know is that you can cook a quick, easy and, most importantly, exquisite meal for less money! Cooking a Homemade dish brings family members together and helps people become more productive. Let me show you a quick and tasty recipe to try out:

‘THE UGARIT’

Try these tasty Syrian wraps filled with finely chopped onions, red peppers, chicken and Houmous. They will feed four people for under £10- this recipe is perfect for a cheap and delicious meal!

 

INGREDIENTS

1 Onion

1 Garlic clove

1 Red Pepper

2 boneless, skineless chicken thighs, cut into bite- sized pieces

A pot of Houmous

Soy Sauce

Olive oil

8 Bakery Tortilla Wraps

 

METHOD

Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat and add the chicken. Then, when the chicken is cooked, pour the Soy Sauce over the meat until it becomes brown.

Add the chopped onion, red pepper and garlic into another pan. Cook until the vegetables are soft and form a ‘paste’. While the vegetables are cooking, heat up a medium sized pan and place the Tortilla Wraps in it individually until heated up.

After everything is cooked, place the Wraps on a plate and, with a spoon, put all ingredients into the Wrap, don’t forget to spread the Houmous on top as well!
