Language courses in Liverpool
The language academy in Liverpool offers different courses at different levels.:
- General English
This course focuses on general English language skills to be able to communicate more fluently. If you want to improve your general English language skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar), this course would be the best option for you. The duration of this course is from one week or up to a year. The course includes a welcome pack, placement test and a certificate at the end of the course. - General English Plus
The General English Plus Course is a full-time, intensive course that will help you improve all your general English language skills. Any level of English is welcome (A1-C1). You can choose the duration of the course, whether you want to stay for one week or 11 months. The course is a 21-hour course, the lessons are on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
- FCE
The FCE courses prepare you to take the FCE exam. During the course, you become familiar with all parts of the exam (as you receive access to official FCE exam practice material). Also, this course offers workshops based on exam techniques and academic writing.
The classes are from Monday to Wednesday., available for one week up to a whole year. - IELTS
The International English Language Testing System is a test used as an entry requirement by many universities around the world. This course focuses on all the skills required for the exam and different exam techniques. The course is 10 hours per week and the levels accepted starting from B1 to C1.
- SELT
To apply for the UK Visa, immigration (UKVI) and British Citizenship, you will need to take the SELT exam. This course will prepare you for the exam so you can pass the first time.
This course focuses on GESE A1, GESE A2 and GESE B1. - Intensive Business Seminars

Rooms
You can choose from a single room or a shared room with another student of the same sex. We do our best not to put students with the same first language together, although during the busy seasons this is not always possible.
Meals
Your host family will provide a breakfast and evening meal Monday to Friday and three meals a day at weekends (half board). Breakfast, lunch and evening meal 7 days a week (full board). We can cater for all dietary requirements just let us know what your needs are on your application form.
If you prefer to be more independent then we can arrange a choice of self-catering options. Prices start at £85 per week, contact us for more details.
Laundry
Your hosts will provide and wash all bed linen. They will also offer to wash one load of personal washing each week.
Transport
All our hosts are a simple single bus ride away from our City Centre school and some are within walking distance.
Arrival and Departure
Airport and train station transfers available at an additional cost. Please contact us for prices and details.
Cancellation Policy
Students wishing to cancel their accommodation should do so no later than one week before their arrival, failing to do so will incur a charge of one week’s accommodation fee.
Independent Living
Independent Living is rented accommodation in the city centre. We recommend using Liberty Living Liverpool who are a trusted student accommodation service.
