spanish learning course

Being a Spanish teacher

Work with teenagers in their mother tongue is an exciting experience. It is not just about transmitting the required knowledge, but about managing to develop both oral and written skills. Students have to improve their expressive skills in Spanish to be able to develop their intellectual capacity. There is no need to impose a language, it is about expanding the linguistic resources of each student. Teaching should cover the diversity of structures, linguistic plans, and communicative situations.

In my experience, the greatest difficulties are the great diversity existing among the students and the majority lack of motivation. Many times what appears is an inconsistency between what the teacher shows and the students learn. This leads to a vicious circle where the students lose all interest because they feel they learn nothing. Given this situation, the challenge is to obtain the mechanisms so that each course acquires the required contents.

Are you stuck in your Comfort Zone?

Each of us has our own boundaries and comfort zone. Most of the time it’s really hard to step out of your comfort zone. So, are you stuck in your comfort zone? We asked this question on our Facebook page, let’s have a look the result. control of environment

That means 62% think that they stuck in their comfort zone. Comfort zone is the most secure place for people because they are in control and that makes them feel safe. For instance, you know one way to go from work to your home and you always use that way to go because you know everything about that road and it is your secure place. Maybe there are other ways to go; shorter one or with a great view but you don’t know because you always prefer to go in the same way. So, a comfort zone is a beautiful place but nothing ever grows there. Ask a question to yourself, are you really happy or just comfortable?

Maybe you’ve never heard about this or you know just a little so be ready I am taking you to this magic world of Chakras.

Chakra means 'wheel' in Sanskrit

The chakra system originated in India between 1500 and 500 BC in the oldest text called the Vedas. Knowledge of the chakra system was passed down through an oral tradition by the Indo-European people. The Chakra system was traditionally an Eastern philosophy until Western authors started resonating with the idea and wrote about the chakras, expanding upon the older texts and making the knowledge more accessible.

My Erasmus in Palma de Mallorca

Hi, it’s Sam again! Today I’m going to tell you about my Erasmus experience that I had two years ago.

During my university studies, I had the opportunity to study abroad as part of the Erasmus program. Studying english philology at the time, I wanted to go to a Spanish speaking country since it was the language I wanted to work on the most despite what I was studying. And one of the universities that offered such courses in Spain and that was a partner of my university was the UIB, la Universitat de las Illes Baleares. So, after sorting the different paperwork, I was off to Palma de Mallorca to live abroad for the first time.
